During her address, Vice President Hsiao expressed that the most passionate blood donors from across Taiwan were gathered at the Presidential Office, representing President Lai in extending the nation’s highest respect. She thanked the donors for their selfless contributions, emphasizing that blood donation not only saves lives but also embodies the spirit of mutual support. She noted that being in good health is the primary requirement for blood donation, as donors use their own health to help others recover theirs, creating a virtuous cycle. Blood donors come from all walks of life and represent the best examples of kindness and generosity in society.

Taiwan Blood Services Foundation Chairman Hou Sheng-Mao remarked that since the inaugural Presidential Meeting in 1995, this event has reached its 30th year. Over the years, more than a thousand outstanding blood donors have been honored by successive presidents and vice presidents, making this event the highest recognition for donors and highlighting the government’s dedication to promoting blood donation initiatives. Chairman Hou also extended special thanks to Vice President Hsiao for her consistent support of blood donation, whether in Taipei or Hualien. When the donor health standards were established in 2006, the average life expectancy was 77 years. However, as of last year, it had exceeded 80, indicating room for adjustment. The foundation looks forward to the Ministry’s official announcement. In conclusion, Chairman Hou thanked Vice President Hsiao for taking the time to meet and encourage the donors, as well as the "guardian angels" of Taiwan and all sectors of society. Their dedication and efforts ensure a sufficient and reliable blood supply for medical needs, benefiting countless patients and bringing hope to lives.

Major You Wen-Ya shared during her speech that she began donating blood at the age of 17 and has always maintained a healthy lifestyle to continue donating. She expressed her aspiration to follow in the footsteps of senior donors, consistently meeting the maximum annual donation allowance to reassure patients in need.
