Multicultural Promotion

TBSF has conveyed the concept of voluntary blood donation to the public from multiple angles and has gradually implemented it. Since 1991, the donation volume of blood, for the first time, exceeded one million units, surpassing the international threshold of 5% of the national blood donation rate. This achieved the goal of self-sufficiency in blood supply as declared by the World Health Organization, becoming one of the advanced countries in the blood donation business.

Testimony lectures to deepen public confidence

From the lack of mass media to the current media landscape, celebrity testimonials have always been an important means of publicity. Many artistes, who are well aware of the importance of blood donation, have assisted in promoting blood donation, including shooting advertisements or posters. This is an invaluable resource and help to TBSF.
Blood donation organizations in the early days were not as open as they are today, and film and television celebrity Sun Yueh became the first lifelong blood donation volunteer. Blood donation was also the first commitment to public welfare. Sun called for his friends from the television and film industry for a good cause. Director Wang Nien-Tzu shot a TV commercial with Jackie Chan, while actors Chen Shu-Li and Lai Pei-Hsia rolled up their sleeves to give blood, opening up the issue of blood donation in the social movement.

Combining social resources to join hands in blood donation

Civil society organizations are a force to be reckoned with in the "Donate a Bag of Blood, Save a Life" campaign. In the early years, various religious and local clubs enthusiastically used their valuable resources to promote blood donation. With their assistance in advocacy, the public has corrected the old misconception that blood donation is harmful to health. With this in mind, the concept of blood donation to save others and benefit themselves is increasingly recognized. This has also increased the volume of blood donation in a stable manner. In addition to regularly holding blood drives, we also raise funds and even raise funds to build blood donation vehicles to provide blood donors with a more comfortable blood donation environment.
