Easy Blood Lessons for Young Adults Wins Taipei Medical Association's Good Book Award

       The popular science book Easy Blood Lessons for Young Adults, published by the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation, has once again been recognized. After winning the 2023 Openbook Reading Magazine Good Book Award (in the Children's Book category for Chinese-language works) and being selected for the 2024 Openbook Reading Magazine "SDGs Taiwan Top 100 Book List," the book has now earned the Ninth Good Book Award from the Taipei Medical Association, a great encouragement for the publication.
 
       The Taipei Medical Association selected Easy Blood Lessons for Young Adults as a Good Book, not only for imparting scientific knowledge about blood to teenagers but also for instilling the life-saving importance of blood donation. The book presents blood knowledge systematically and engagingly, with illustrations that make the concepts easy to understand. It emphasizes the irreplaceable value of blood donation, making it an essential life education resource for all citizens. The book has been donated to schools across Taiwan, with a dedicated webpage and accompanying lesson plans to support teachers in incorporating blood donation education into extracurricular materials in an enjoyable and educational way, further promoting medical knowledge.
 
       The award ceremony was held on November 10, during the Taipei Medical Association’s celebration of Doctors' Day. The award was accepted on behalf of the foundation by Chairman Hou Sheng-Mao.
