Blood Donation with Love, Life Continues Tribute to the Outstanding Blood Donors and Donating Organizations of 2024

In the 2024 (Year 113 of the Republic of China calendar) Outstanding Blood Donation Recognition, the honored organizations include: 37 schools, awarded certificates by the Ministry of Education; 532 social groups and institutions, awarded certificates by the Ministry of Health and Welfare; 19 military units, awarded certificates of appreciation by the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation; and 66 individuals or organizations recognized with special contribution certificates of appreciation.
As for individual blood donors, a total of 25,513 people received personal recognition for their outstanding contributions, including: 17,981 donors who donated more than 100 units of whole blood, and 7,532 donors who donated more than 100 units via apheresis. They were respectively awarded certificates of appreciation by the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation and the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Among them, 451 individuals donated 500 units or more via apheresis, and 1,353 individuals achieved milestone donations of 150 or more whole blood units for men, or 100 or more for women. These 1,804 donors were awarded an honorary medal by the Taiwan Blood Donation Association. Additionally, 233 donors who reached over 1,000 units received an honorary plaque from the Taiwan Blood Services Foundation, and 26 donors who surpassed 2,000 units were awarded an honorary badge.
