Taiwan Blood Services Foundation (TBSF) will host the 5th APEC Life Science Innovation Forum Blood Safety Policy Forum



The blood system in Taiwan has achieved several milestones as a benchmarking. It is critical to involve in the international organization for contributing our experience and learning from advanced blood systems. After a year of effort, our economy has been assigned by the APEC LSIF Blood Safety Network Advisory Board to host the 5th APEC Life Sciences Innovation Forum Blood Safety Policy Forum in Taipei on Dec.10-11,2018 , and our President Dr. Sheng-Mou Hou receives the new role as the chair in 2018. With the previous focus on quality assurance during the past forums, we would like to move the theme forward from quality to safety. For careful preparedness of the next forum, TBSF was on behalf of our economy to attend the 4th APEC Life Sciences Innovation Forum Blood Safety Policy Forum at Jakarta, Indonesia during Dec. 13-14, 2017. The delegation included 12 members were leaded by the President Dr. Sheng-Mou Hou.

At the closing ceremony, President Dr. Hou presented the attractions in Taiwan with full of beautiful scenery, culture, and gourmet, and warmly welcome to all the participants to come to Taipei. Our economy is honored to host and support the 5th forum next year accompanied with our expertise and hospitality. We anticipate that all participants will be fruitful from the discussion and bring it back for further improving the regional blood safety. At the same time, we will also share our experience and demonstrate our accomplishment to the world.
