Stepping into the heart of Taipei City, at the bustling intersection of Linsen North Road and Dehui Street stands a three-story Earth God temple — Taipei Jingfu Temple. With its thriving incense offerings, Jingfu Temple is not only a center of local faith but also a place of spiritual comfort and emotional connection for the community. Even during rush hours, busy office workers often pause briefly at the temple entrance, put their palms together, and offer a prayer. For many years, Jingfu Temple has upheld the belief of “giving back to society what is taken from society,” actively engaging in public welfare and transforming the power of faith into concrete actions that protect and support the community.

Jingfu Temple once again donates a large electric blood donation vehicle — the “Jingfu Vehicle” — to the Taipei Blood Center. In addition to enhancing blood donation service capacity, this contribution also supports the creation of a low-carbon and sustainable blood donation environment. The donation ceremony, held on October 13, 2025, was graced by many distinguished guests, including Jingfu Temple Chairman Weng Ching-Biao, Taipei City Department of Health Commissioner Huang Chien-Hua, Department of Civil Affairs Commissioner Chen Yung-Te, Zhongshan District Director Huang Ming-Hung, Taipei City Borough Chiefs Association President Huang Chih-Chang, as well as the borough chiefs of Qingguang, Xinzhuang, Zhuluen, Jiangning, and Juye — all gathered to witness this heartfelt moment of shared goodwill.

Chairman Weng expressed his appreciation in his welcome remarks, thanking all guests for joining the event. He shared that Jingfu Temple has been deeply involved in public service for many years. Its connection with the Taipei Blood Center began in 2023, when it donated 10,000 empty blood bags worth NT$1.05 million to support blood donation promotion. Since 2024, the temple has also encouraged worshippers and nearby neighborhoods to host blood drive events. To date, four drives have been held, collecting nearly a thousand bags of precious blood — demonstrating the selfless spirit of religious organizations in uniting community strength.

In addition to promoting blood donation, Jingfu Temple also cares for police and firefighters. It previously donated a new dual-compartment mini fire engine with a water tank, enhancing rescue capabilities in the city’s narrow alleys. This vehicle has become one of the Taipei City Fire Department’s important emergency response tools.

Speaking on behalf of the Taipei City Government, Department of Health Commissioner Huang Chien-Hua said: “As an emergency physician, I deeply understand how crucial blood is to the medical system. Every bag of donated blood represents hope for a patient. The combined power of blood donation and the unity inspired by religious organizations forms one of the most beautiful strengths in Taiwan.”

Taipei City Department of Civil Affairs Commissioner Chen Yung-Te, who has long supported religious groups in public welfare, also attended the ceremony. He remarked: “I commend Jingfu Temple for its longstanding dedication to social welfare. This donated electric blood donation vehicle is extremely costly, and it is touching to see how the temple and its worshippers have gathered countless acts of small kindness into a profound expression of great love.”

Jingfu Temple is not only a thriving religious landmark but also a source of warmth in the midst of Taipei’s busy and bustling environment. From the incense-filled courtyard to concrete actions in social welfare, each contribution carries the belief in doing good. In the future, the Jingfu Vehicle will continue to travel across Taipei, New Taipei, and Keelung with the compassion and blessings of the Earth God — accompanying the city, safeguarding lives, and allowing love and hope to flow forward through every drop of blood.
