For 35 years, Jiusheng Flags has not only specialized in professional flag and printing production but has also actively participated in various public welfare and blood donation activities. Today marks a day filled with love and commitment, as we donated our third Blood Transport Vehicle. We hope this act of love will travel across Taiwan, contributing to medical transportation and fulfilling our most sincere mission of “becoming a company that contributes to the world.” The donation ceremony was held on July 18, 2025, in front of the company building, with Chairman Hsu Chih-Ming leading all employees in witnessing the event, and Director Lin Min-Chang of the Taipei Blood Center representing the recipient organization.
This benevolent act originated from Jiusheng Flags founder, Mr. Hsu Chih-Ming. At the age of 10, he required a lung lobe removal surgery that demanded a large amount of blood. However, in the 1970s, when blood donation campaigns were not yet common, his mother had no choice but to purchase blood from so-called “blood cows,” making it both difficult and expensive to obtain. Having endured such hardship, Chairman Hsu made a lifelong vow: one day he would give back to society and help more people in need.
Chairman Hsu stated: “We are grateful to our customers for their long-term support of Jiusheng, which enables us to fulfill our charitable ideals every year. Every act of kindness we do reflects the trust and care of our customers. We transform this love into action, allowing goodwill to continue endlessly.” He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all partners and suppliers: “Today’s ceremony did not invite guests or officials, because in my heart, every colleague and partner is the true VIP of this event. Together, we witness this warm moment. It is because of your shared efforts and recognition of our ideals that Jiusheng’s vision is no longer just a slogan, but real, heartwarming moments brought to life. Because of you, Jiusheng lets kindness fly with the wind and love take root. Because of you, I am even more motivated to keep Jiusheng moving forward on the path to becoming a happy enterprise. I especially want to thank my beloved wife, who has always been by my side as my greatest support and best teammate.”
Director Lin Min-Chang of the Taipei Blood Center expressed in his speech that this was his second visit to Jiusheng Flags, the first being in 2019 when he had just assumed office, an experience that left a deep impression. “From the moment I stepped into the company, I could clearly feel the atmosphere of a happy enterprise.” He affirmed Jiusheng’s long-standing support for medical blood supply and social welfare. He also noted that the donated Blood Transport Vehicle is a hybrid, carrying not only love but also environmental friendliness, aligning with modern corporate emphasis on ESG and sustainable development.
“Now it is summer vacation, a period when blood supply is particularly tight. Today’s donated vehicle is responsible for transporting collected blood. We hope Jiusheng’s family members will also donate blood during their free time, allowing the vehicle to carry hope and brighten patients’ lives. Chairman Hsu just mentioned that this donation is not the end, but a new beginning. Such belief is truly admirable, and on behalf of the blood center and patients in need, I extend our deepest gratitude once again.”
The Taipei Blood Center collects nearly 900,000 bags of blood each year, and Blood Transport Vehicles play an indispensable role. Every unit of blood must be transported back to the center for separation, testing, and storage before being delivered to medical institutions in Taipei, Keelung, and Yilan. Each vehicle travels about 150 kilometers daily and is equipped with multi-temperature storage systems, which are vital in the blood cold chain to ensure safety and quality throughout transportation.
