Video Description:She’s 17, and she donates blood! – Triathlete Lin Yu-Chi Lin Yu-Chi has been in triathlon training since elementary school and is currently a high school student. Like many other girls her age, she loves looking good and taking photos, yet she persists with her demanding workout routine in her spare time. Her tenacity is impressive—she has competed in around 40 events of various sizes. Recalling her blood donation experience, Lin says she was all set to donate blood right after she turned 17, but was turned away because she didn’t meet the weight requirement. Determined, she gained enough weight to qualify, and at last she succeeded in donating. Lin said, “Being able to donate blood means I’m healthy and capable of helping others—it’s awesome!”
