On March 10, 2025, Yongxu Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. and the Kaohsiung Yongxu Hope Engineering Charity Association held a donation and inauguration ceremony at the Hanshin Arena Plaza for Kaohsiung’s first electric mobile blood donation vehicle, “Yongxu Insurance Hope No. 1.” The event was attended by Chairman Fan Kuo-Liang and Vice Chairman Zeng Qing-De of Yongxu Insurance Brokers, as well as Chairman Lü Wen-Xiong and Founder & Honorary President Chang Shu-Yi of the Charity Association. Director Hung Chi-Min of the Kaohsiung Blood Center accepted the donation on behalf of the center.

Yongxu Insurance Brokers Co., Ltd. was founded in July 2004. Guided by the philosophy of “giving back to society,” Chairman Fan Kuo-Liang and Executive Director Chang Shu-Yi co-founded the Kaohsiung Yongxu Hope Engineering Charity Association in October 2016. The association is primarily composed of Yongxu employees, who actively engage in public welfare activities outside of work. Although the company had not previously organized blood donation events, 2024 marked its 20th anniversary. Having previously donated several emergency command vehicles, Chairman Lü Wen-Xiong learned that the Kaohsiung Blood Center was promoting electric blood donation vehicles to replace old fuel-powered ones in pursuit of environmental goals. This inspired the idea to donate an electric large-capacity blood donation vehicle. After nearly a year of planning and construction, “Yongxu Insurance Hope No. 1” was officially presented to the Kaohsiung Blood Center during the company’s annual spring banquet and employee recognition event on March 10.
The electric mobile blood donation vehicle eliminates vibrations during idling, providing a more comfortable experience for donors. It also emits no exhaust, making it more environmentally friendly and healthier for people waiting nearby. Director Hung Chi-Min of the Kaohsiung Blood Center remarked, “The launch of Kaohsiung’s first electric blood donation vehicle represents a significant advancement toward greener, more progressive blood donation services. The blood collected by this vehicle will be a lifeline for many.”
During his speech, Chairman Lü Wen-Xiong stated, “Blood donation is an extremely important issue. Yongxu Insurance and the Charity Association have long been committed to public welfare. We understand the critical role blood plays in medical care, and we hope this donation raises public awareness. The company also plans to host blood donation drives in the future.” Chairman Fan Kuo-Liang added in an interview, “Enterprises should fulfill their social responsibility by giving back to society through concrete actions. We hope this vehicle will improve blood donation convenience in the Kaohsiung area and encourage more people to donate, thereby ensuring a stable blood supply for the healthcare system and saving more lives.”
The Kaohsiung Yongxu Hope Engineering Charity Association upholds the values of “caring for children,” “emergency relief,” and “supporting the elderly.” In addition to donating the blood donation vehicle, the association also donates “Yongxu Hope Rice” monthly, subsidizes after-school programs for rural children, and regularly holds charitable events to care for disadvantaged groups. Through small acts of kindness, they bring warmth to many. “Yongxu Insurance Hope No. 1” will now travel throughout the streets and alleys of Kaohsiung and Pingtung, gathering precious blood donations. The association looks forward to seeing more citizens roll up their sleeves and join the cause of saving lives through blood donation.
The Kaohsiung Blood Center currently operates 19 blood donation vehicles. With “Yongxu Insurance Hope No. 1” joining the fleet, more love and hope will be delivered, helping save more lives and supporting patients across southern Taiwan.
